12th Feb 08, The season starts in exactly a calendar month when the Witches travel to old rivals Kings Lynn in the East Anglian Trophy. The following night the Witches will welcome their rivals to Foxhall for the first time since 2003.
The Witches have drawn Wolves in the EL KOC competition and the SKYSPORTS Elite League campaign will commence away at Coventry on April 4th.

BELLE Vue Aces will race in honour of a homespun legend when they stage a highlight of their season, the club’s 80th anniversary meeting, on Monday, July 28.Some 16 riders, who will include the cream of the speedway world, will race over 20 heats for the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy, named after the Liverpool-born star who won the world title in 1955 and 1962.
RISING Aussie speedway star Robert Ksiezak is hoping to carve himself a future at Belle Vue.
6th Feb 08, The “Evening Star” Witches new team manager, Pete Simmons, has written the first of a new series of regular features for ipswich-witches.co.uk. In his first piece he outlines his hopes for the coming season.
BELLE Vue captain Joe Screen has admitted he is disappointed that Simon Stead has left the club but remains upbeat about the new season which starts in March.
4th Feb 08, The “Evening Star” Witches would like to welcome Robbie Kessler to the club as their number 8 for the 2008 season. The 34 year old was born in Germany and has ridden in British Speedway for 14 years.
A large part of his career has been spent with Sheffield but he has also ridden for Kings Lynn, Hull, Stoke and Peterborough. He rode short spells at three tracks, Redcar, Rye House and Stoke in the Premier League last season but has signed for the Mildenhall Fen Tigers for 2008.
Track staff wishing to sign on for the 2008 season, are invited to do so on Wednesday 13th February 2008 at 7.30pm at Kesgrave Social Club.
