Everyone at Glasgow Speedway was saddened to hear of the news of the passing of Len Wright. A long time supporter who has played a key role behind the scenes over many years, Len has been GTSSC Travel Convenor during the past few years, a very onerous task, which he took on with great relish.
Sadly ill health during last year took its toll and Len was not able to be present at the Speedway this year. He passed away peacefully on Saturday and everyone at Glasgow would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to his family. A minutes silence will be held prior to the meeting today.
3rd Aug The “Evening Star” Witches travel to Manchester looking to end a disappointing run that has seen them lose three matches in succession. Following Thursdays defeat at home the Lakeside the Witches will need the added point for the away win to stand a chance of re-entering the top four positions in the SSEL qualifying tables.
