One of the most encouraging pieces of news to come out of the Stars night was the news that already 20 meetings are sponsored before the fixture list is even out. This is very exciting news given that we are in the midst of some very difficult times for commercial markets.

A lot of this success is down to the recent appointments of Commerical Directors Derek Smith and Craig McCurdy, two supporters who have certainly risen to the challenge of improving our commercial lot.

At the Stars event on Friday night, the third signing for the new season was announced and it sees a return to Ashfield for Robert Ksiezak. The young Australian tried his luck outwith Scotland last year but that experiment proved to be disappointing so he has renewed vigour as he returns to Scotland to the club where he has had most success so far.
