Speedway journeyman, Leigh Lanham, called his winter move to Belle Vue “a dream come true“. The 32-year-old rider from Ipswich showed why by top-scoring for the Autogate Aces with three heat wins in five outings to finish with 13 points.

He outshone the big-name home stars and beat Eastbourne number one, Matej Zagar, with a powerful display as the Aces landed a resounding Elite League victory.


Aces sign Kroner

Belle Vue have signed German star Tobias Kroner after being forced to rule out an early return to action for Danish international star Charlie Gjedde.

Kroner, 24, will make his debut as soon as the signing is complete but it will not be in time for tonight’s home match against Eastbourne (7.30pm).

Every rider won a race, in a real team effort, with the exception of new signing, Leigh Lanham, but he made a vital contribution with three second places in his nine points.


Kroner set for Aces debut
