MEETING OFF

Today’s scheduled Premier League encounter against the Sheffield Tigers has been CALLED OFF due to rain. With a heavy shower forecast through out the course of the afternoon, the decision was taken at 12.15pm to postpone the meeting as persistant over night rain has left the track surface wet and soft.

Sunday Guests

The Glasgow Tigers face a difficult meeting against the Sheffield Tigers at Ashfield this afternoon. Sadly though, as a cosequence of our win over Berwick last night we have suffered major ijury concerns.

Already missing of course was Christian Henry but add to that list for today the names of Joe Screen and Nick Morris who will also be absent. Under the rules it is only a National League guest for Nick and that will be Gary Irving while former Tiger Kevin Doolan will take the place of Joe Screen at the top of the order.

Supporters should note that due to storm damage last week the family room is out of bounds although the bar area will be in use via the side entrance only. The office landline has also been destrioyed so there is no landline access to the stadium today. We apologise for that issue and hope that all is in place for next week’s encounter against Redcar.

Guests

After the unfortunate injuries to Joe Screen (elbow) and Nick Morris (shoulder) at Berwick last night. The promotion have drafted in Ipswich heatleader and former Tiger, Kevin Doolan, to guest for the injured Screen. And former Redcar and Workington rider, Gary Irving for Nick Morris ahead of today’s vital Premier League clash against the Sheffield Tigers.

Stunning Stuff

A stunning last heat maximum from guest Matthew Wethers and James Grieves ensured a stunning away win for the A-Plant Tigers on Saturday night at Berwick. Against the odds with Joe Screen and Nick Morris struggling to finish the meeting, it toook a wonderful team effort to maintain our hopes of the title.

Below is the full press release reflecting on the win.
