Reigning league champions Swindon make their second appearance at Belle Vue’s National Speedway Stadium on Monday, May 14 when two of the Premiership top four clash.
The Rentruck Aces have so far maintained an unbeaten home record, with their latest victory against Wolverhampton their most comprehensive to date; a trend they hope to continue.
The two sides met in Manchester for the very first fixture of the new season – the Premiership Charity Shield – with their upcoming bout being their first league match tussle of the year.
It was the Rentruck Aces who reigned supreme in the first leg of that Charity Shield clash, but the overall victory belonged to the CFS Filtration Robins after a dominant performance in Wiltshire.
But they will be without reserve Mitchell Davey on Monday, who sustained serious injuries while riding for the Birmingham Brummies in the National League on Wednesday night.
Swindon have yet to confirm their guest replacement at Belle Vue while the home team will operate R/R in place of injured captain Steve Worrall, with Dan Bewley moving to No.3.
Stand-in skipper, Max Fricke, said: “Our form at home has been dominant so far but we’ve been pushed hard by quite a few teams that have come here so we’re not complacent in any way.
“We’ve pulled off a win against Swindon here before and there’s no reason we can’t repeat that. Provided we continue to work together as well as we do, I’m confident we can get a good result.
“Swindon are the team to beat at the moment. They’re top of the table, their form both at home and away has been spot on so it should be a really good match, but certainly a challenging one.
“There’s no easy race in the Premiership, especially in Manchester because our track is such a fair one but the boys are getting dialed in which hopefully will play in our favour come Monday.”
The Belle Vue Rentruck Aces are back in action at home on Monday, May 21 against King’s Lynn.
Tickets for the Premiership home meeting are now available at www.bellevueaces.co, and at the stadium box office on race night.
