The popular Czech Republic rider is reported to have a broken bone in his neck and due an operation at some point on Saturday.  <br /><br />Adrian is one of the most popular visiting riders at Glasgow and we are all crossing our fingers for his safe passage back to full fitness.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[It was a horror night on the injury and illness front on Friday at Scunthorpe with riders suffering badly as the team went down to a heavy defeat losing 62-30.<br /><br />With Josh Grajczonek, Travis McGowan and Joe Screen entering the meeting with injury concenrs, the younger Aussie was the first to bite the bullet as he came on on lap 1 bend 3 of his first race as he clashed with Jan Graversen and was ruled out with a hip injury.  Joe Screen by this time was feeling ill in the pits and although he took his next two rides, he was throwing up and had to pull out after that.<br /><br />Travis was untroubled as far as injury was concerned but had a shocker as he was late on arriving due to the fatal crash on the M18 so missed all opportunity to walk the track at a venue he has never seen before, and then proceeded to have his worst meeting in Glasgow colours as he consigned his engine to the dustbin at its conclusion.<br /><br />Major credit goes to guest Darren Mallett and especially our own Jake Anderson and Nick Morris, who battled manfully and got stuck in in very difficult circumstances.<br /><br />As far as the trip to Newport tonight, Chris Neath and Sam Masters will don the race jackets in place of Screen and Grajczonek and Darren Mallett will continue in the number 6 race jacket as James Holder was injured on Thursday at Sheffield.<br /><br />For tomorrow's clash with Edinburgh at home, it will be Jason Lyons in for Joe Screen and Marcin Rempala in for Josh.  Jade Mudgeway will guest for Lee Dicken.<br /><br />It is hoped that will a few days rest both Screen and Grajczonek can return for a week on Sunday against Kings Lynn.]]></description>
